Aluminum main gear cover for AXIAL SCX24 Deadbolt

This aluminium main gear cover is made for AXIAL SCX24 Deadbolt style rigs and is supplied as a 3pcs set SCX24038GC. The part replaces the original plastic cover to give a stronger barrier against knocks and to help move heat away from the motor and spur area during longer trail runs.

Construction and fit: machined from 6061-T6 aluminum to balance weight and strength, the cover is secured with stainless steel cap head screws and locates to the gearbox in the same mounting points as the stock part. Supplied items from the source include one gear cover and two stainless steel cap head screws 1.4x5 for the advertised mounting holes.

Installation notes: remove the factory cover, check gear mesh and bearing condition, then fit the aluminum cover with the supplied screws using a suitable hex driver. Do not over-torque fasteners to avoid stripping threads, and confirm there is adequate clearance to the spur and pinion before running the vehicle.

Tuning and role: this aftermarket cover adds local stiffness around the main gear area and can assist with passive heat transfer away from the spur/motor region during extended crawling sessions, helping maintain stable running without changing gear geometry.
