Under-gearbox shield for trail use

This stainless steel center gear box bottom protector is made for AXIAL 4WD SCX24 trail rigs and functions as an aftermarket skid plate to limit sand and grit entering the gearbox. The flat plate covers the lower face of the centre gearbox to absorb small impacts encountered on rough terrain.

Material and fit notes: constructed from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, the protector is profiled to sit beneath the front and rear gearbox sections while avoiding contact with nearby suspension parts. Positioning holes line up with the upper main-shaft screw locations so the main shaft can be removed or refitted without taking the plate off.

Installation and setup: attach the plate using the supplied fasteners, confirm clearance around the main shaft and full suspension travel, and ensure there is no interference with rotating drivetrain parts under compression. As a compact, low-mass shield it limits abrasive ingress while keeping the vehicle simple to service.
