Precision Steel Drive Shaft for SCX-10 Crawlers

The ASCX10-22401-BK steel universal drive shaft is an RC-scale replacement part designed for Axial SCX-10 Honcho and Dingo models. It replaces worn or broken stock shafts and offers a consistent metal alternative to common plastic units.

Functionally, the shaft transmits rotation between gearbox and axle assemblies on scale crawlers, helping preserve driveline alignment while the suspension articulates. The shaft is finished in black and sized to match SCX-10 Honcho & Dingo drivetrain geometry.

Installation notes: confirm joint compatibility with your vehicle and check for smooth rotation across suspension travel. Inspect for tight clearances and interference before extended trail runs. This item is intended for hobby RC use only.

It is made to match SCX-10 Honcho and Dingo geometry, but confirm that your existing axle cups and retention pins align with the new shaft before committing to installation.
A set of hex drivers, pliers for clip work, and a small file or emery for minor clearance are typically sufficient. Test-fit components and rotate the assembly by hand to check movement.
Apply light grease to pivoting joints for smooth operation; avoid threadlocker on removable retention hardware unless you need it for vibration resistance.
Cycle the suspension through full travel while rotating the driveline by hand. Look for smooth rotation and no contact with chassis or linkages before running under power.
