This aftermarket alloy front C-hub is built for the Axial Racing SCX10 Honcho chassis and is supplied as model SCX019 from GPM. It is intended as a direct replacement for the stock front C-hub and installs using the original front mounting points so the chassis layout remains unchanged.
Material and role: the part is cast and machined from alloy to create a firmer mounting interface for the steering knuckle compared with common plastic hubs, and to provide a robust contact surface where the axle and kingpin meet the hub body.
Installation notes: remove the wheel and steering knuckle, transfer the existing kingpin and mounting hardware where appropriate, and confirm fit with your stock steering knuckles and axle shafts. Use the correct hex driver for the hardware, avoid over-torquing fasteners, and verify steering sweep and clearance after fitting. Apply thread locker in the same locations you would for other metal-to-metal fasteners.
Tuning guidance: fitting an alloy front C-hub will alter front-end rigidity and steering feedback; after installation recheck toe, caster and linkage geometry. Use shims or adjust link lengths if required to restore the desired steering response. Inspect contact faces and fastener tightness regularly for serious trail and crawler use.
