This aftermarket main shaft assembly is engineered for AXIAL SCX10 platforms. The design pairs aluminum 6061 T6 shaft housings with hardened steel #45 adjustable swing shafts and a cross-head universal joint to keep scale fitment while addressing weight and articulation needs common to trail and crawler setups.
The alloy housing cuts rotating mass versus full-steel units, while the hardened adjustable shafts deliver the torsional strength needed for steering and axle articulation. The cross-head universal improves steering articulation, which can increase approach angles and crawl clearance on technical lines without altering chassis geometry.
Installation follows standard SCX10 driveline procedures: remove the factory shafts, install the alloy housings, set shaft length, and secure with the supplied fasteners. Once fitted, check steering link geometry and driveline clearance through full suspension travel before tightening set screws.
Choose this shaft set when you want a lighter alloy housing combined with hardened steel adjustable shafts to refine steering angles and driveline response on AXIAL SCX10-based 1/10 scale electric 4WD models.
