Stainless steel king pin upgrade for Yeti XL

This stainless steel king pin set is an RC-scale steering replacement made for use on Axial Racing Yeti XL platforms. The pair replaces worn or bent king pins in the front steering assembly to restore alignment and reduce unwanted play while keeping the original chassis geometry intact.

Manufactured from stainless steel, the pins offer improved corrosion resistance and longer wear life compared with softer stock parts, and the smooth finish keeps steering feel predictable. Fitment targets the Yeti XL steering knuckle locations that use the original-style king pins; confirm matching mount points and pin diameter on your chassis before fitting.

Installation tips: remove the front knuckle and steering linkages following your usual service routine, press out the old pins and press the new pins squarely to avoid binding. After fitting, check steering throw and toe-in, and tighten linkages in small increments to retain the correct freeplay for precise control.

Packing includes

  • king pins - 2pcs

Original Name / Part No:

AX31073

They are shaped for Yeti XL steering assemblies that use standard king pins; double-check your knuckle mounting points and pin diameter before installing.
A pin press or driver and a set of hex drivers are recommended to remove the knuckle and press out the pins safely without damaging bearings or linkages.
Stainless pins resist wear and stay round longer, which reduces slop in the steering stack and preserves a tighter, more consistent steering response.
