Aluminium rear axle truss for the Yeti XL chassis

This aluminium rear axle truss is a scale replacement made for the Axial Racing Yeti XL and is supplied as a direct-fit rear axle truss. It provides a robust mounting point for the rear axle and suspension links while helping keep alignment under load.

Intended role and tuning notes: fitting this truss increases stiffness in the rear axle assembly compared with stock plastic parts, which reduces mount flex and helps preserve wheel alignment during aggressive off-road driving and technical crawling. It is intended as a structural hop-up to improve durability and repeatable geometry rather than to change suspension kinematics.

Installation advice: replacing the truss normally requires removal of the rear axle assembly and reuse of the original fasteners and link hardware. Check mating surfaces and fasteners for correct fit, ensure clearance to driveshafts and suspension links before final torque, and confirm the differential and wheel bearings spin freely after installation.

Specifications

  • Item: Axial Racing Yeti XL Aluminium Rear AXLE Truss
  • Material: Aluminium
  • Model Number: YTL013A

The service and respons from gpm has been nothing but excellent, polite in the way they responded to mails, and the parts are of exelent quality if I could I would give more stars😀
It is made as a direct-style replacement for the Axial Racing Yeti XL, but you should confirm clearances and fit on your specific axle assembly before final installation.
Most installations reuse the original fasteners and link hardware, though inspect bolts and threads and replace any worn items to ensure secure mounting.
Aluminium increases structural stiffness at the axle mounts which reduces flex under load; this keeps alignment more consistent but does not directly change suspension geometry.
After fitting, verify differential and wheel bearings rotate freely, recheck fastener tightness after initial runs, and inspect for any contact with driveshafts or link hardware.
