Aftermarket fibre chassis for RC18T

This aftermarket fibre main chassis is made as a direct replacement for the Associated RC 18T platform. The kit includes alloy mounts, mounting screws, E-clips and Delrin posts to fit standard subcomponents without custom drilling.

Installation is a simple swap but requires careful alignment of mounting points and verification of clearances around the gearbox, motor and suspension pickup areas before final torque. Tighten screws progressively to avoid compressing Delrin posts or deforming fibre edges.

This chassis suits racers and club drivers who prefer to tune chassis flex via setup changes. Expect handling differences that are best refined through ride height, shock valving and anti-roll adjustments rather than only electronic tuning.

Specifications

  • Item: Associated RC 18T fibre main chassis with alloy mounts, screws, E-clips and Delrin posts 1pc set Economy Version
  • Material: Fibre
  • Model Number: FAR016
  • Compatibility: Associated RC 18T

Fits directly on RC18T cars and is intended as a setup tool to alter balance and flex; follow standard assembly checks and verify drivetrain and suspension clearances after fitting.

The chassis is designed as a direct replacement for the Associated RC 18T and uses the same mounting points, so it should accept stock hardware supplied with the car or with this kit.
Check alignment of gearbox and suspension mounts, trial-fit motor and drives before final torque, and tighten screws in stages to avoid compressing the Delrin posts.
Fibre changes flex characteristics; expect altered corner feel that you will tune out with ride height, shock valving and anti-roll adjustments rather than with electronics alone.
Verify screw torque, inspect Delrin posts for any compression, confirm motor and drivetrain clearances, and run a brief shakedown to confirm alignment and handling.
