This Arrowmax silicone diff fluid is an RC-scale accessory designed to modify differential behavior by changing internal damping. The 59ml bottle supplies a concentrated, high-viscosity oil used in gear and ball-type diffs to influence how torque is shared between wheels.
At 200.000cst the oil increases the fluid coupling inside the diff, slowing relative motion between side gears and altering traction and rotation bias. Model tuners choose heavier oils to stabilise throttle response and mid-corner rotation, or to limit inside-wheel spin when accelerating on low-grip surfaces.
Changing diff fluid is a common tuning and maintenance task: drain the old oil from the housing, check gears and bearings for wear, then add the new silicone through the fill or pinion opening following the chassis maker's service instructions. Cycle the diff through its travel after filling to purge air pockets and verify consistent damping.
Since viscosity shifts handling balance, test one axle at a time to compare front-to-rear effects, and keep notes of viscosities tried and observed results. Store the bottle upright and reseal after use to prevent contamination and evaporation.
