Front skid plate details

This stainless steel front chassis skid bumper is a direct aftermarket replacement designed for 1/16 ARRMA MINI KRATON 3S models. It is formed from 1mm stainless steel to deliver a flat, rigid bearing surface where the chassis nose contacts obstacles and the ground. The component is intended to limit damage and preserve the chassis edge during short-course and backyard use.

Fit and function: the plate secures to the front chassis plate to take the wear that would otherwise attack the molded bumper and to provide a predictable contact face when scraping or striking ruts. Its stiffness helps route impact loads into the chassis mounting points rather than into plastic parts.

Installation notes: you will need basic disassembly of the front bumper area to install the steel plate. Use the existing mounting holes and supplied hardware where possible, check screw length and thread engagement, and confirm clearance for steering and suspension travel after fitting. Tighten fasteners firmly but avoid over-torquing to protect threads.

Compatible Models

  • ARRMA 1/16 MINI KRATON 3S DSC 4X4 RTR Brushless Speed Truck-ARA2508S
  • ARRMA 1/16 MINI KRATON 3S DSC 4X4 RTR Brushless Speed Truck-ARA2508
Confirm the chassis model code on your truck before ordering; this plate is made as an aftermarket replacement for the ARRMA 1/16 MINI KRATON 3S listings shown and should match those ARA2508 series chassis codes.
If the original bumper screws align with the plate holes, reuse them. If not, choose screws of the correct thread and length and appropriate material strength to avoid stripping or failure.
After installing, cycle the steering to full lock and move the suspension through its travel to check for contact; some setups may need slight repositioning or minor trimming to maintain full range.
