Heavy-duty center differential for Mini Kraton 3S

This complete center differential is a direct-fit upgrade for ARRMA Mini Kraton 3S platforms, supplied fully assembled as a replacement for factory part number ARA-2985. The build uses 20CrMnTi steel gears housed in 7075 aluminum, with revised gear geometry and thicker teeth for tighter mesh to reduce drivetrain power loss and improve transmission efficiency.

The unit is a 38T, module 0.8 center differential made for standard 3.175mm motor shafts. The kit includes a motor plate and a 15T motor pinion (0.8 mod), and the differential accepts motor pinions in the 11T-23T range on the same 3.175mm bore. The kit does not include differential oil, so viscous damping fluids must be chosen separately to tune handling and traction.

Installation notes: supplied subcomponents arrive pre-assembled where applicable; use medium-strength threadlocker on critical fasteners to prevent loosening during use. The package contains the motor plate and related hardware to replace the factory center assembly without major chassis modification.

Tuning guidance: because the center diff ships without oil, set viscous damping to match your handling objectives and vehicle role. As a starting reference, try 50K CST for the front, 30K CST for the rear, and much higher values such as 500K CST or 1000K CST for the center diff depending on traction and steering response required.
