7075-T6 sliding motor mount for 1/16-scale

This GPM MAKM018 motor mount is designed for 1/16-scale ARRMA MINI KRATON 3S trucks. Machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, the part uses upper/lower and left/right sliding plates to allow precise adjustment of motor position and gear mesh without cutting the chassis. The mount accepts direct M3 fastening and can also use the original M2.5 pattern when fitted with the supplied copper collars and hardware.

Key setup details match the original design: motor hole spacing is 16mm and the mount suits common 2848-style motor cans. Gear guidance from the factory layout is kept — with a 63T spur gear the recommended pinion range is 15T to 34T. How do I fit this mount to my MINI KRATON?

Remove the stock motor mount, align the sliding plates to achieve correct mesh, then secure with the supplied screws. Use the copper collars to keep the original M2.5 pattern if you prefer not to use M3 fasteners.

Which screws should I use for a direct M3 install?

For direct M3 mounting use the 3x8 Grade 12.9 black cap head screws included. The set also contains 2.5x8 screws if you need to retain the M2.5 pattern with collars.

Will this change my gear ratio options?

No change to the factory gear ratio table: with a 63T spur gear the acceptable pinion sizes remain 15T–34T, and the 16mm hole spacing fits common 2848 motor cans.
