This 7075 alloy 20T servo saver is an aftermarket replacement designed for specific 1/16 and 1/12 small-scale ARRMA and LOSI models. Machined from high-tensile 7075 aluminum, it keeps the RC steering assembly light while providing consistent engagement and improved longevity. The part uses a 20-tooth spline with a 4.7mm diameter to match standard 20T output gears.
The unit functions as a mechanical buffer between the servo output and the steering linkage, with an internal spring that absorbs impacts to reduce shock transmitted to the servo gear. Some SPM servos produce a very tight fit; when that happens align the spline teeth and press down evenly until the saver fully seats to avoid misalignment.
Installation is straightforward for hobby technicians familiar with small-scale steering systems: remove the factory 20T servo saver, check spline alignment, then press the replacement onto the servo shaft until the spline seats. Fasteners are supplied pre-assembled for convenience, and a medium-strength threadlocker is recommended on screws to resist vibration-related loosening.
This item is intended only as an RC-scale accessory for model steering systems and must not be used on full-size vehicles.
