Installation and Use Guide

The APC AP15512W is a 15.5x12W wide-blade propeller made as a replacement for electric model aircraft, tuned to deliver stronger static and low-speed thrust for sport and scale models.

Compatibility is broad for electric RC model aircraft that accept a 15.5in diameter with 12 pitch; confirm hub bore, shaft diameter, and the spinner or prop nut fastening method before fitting. Ensure there is adequate clearance from the airframe and control linkages.

Installation notes: inspect the prop for any visible manufacturing defects, balance the propeller on a static balancer prior to mounting, seat it fully on the motor shaft or adapter, and tighten the prop nut to the motor maker's recommended torque without stressing the hub. After final tightening, recheck balance and perform a short run-up to assess vibration.

Tuning role: a wide-blade profile raises disc loading and typically increases low-speed thrust compared with narrower blades of the same diameter. Expect a change in motor load and throttle trim; watch motor temperature and ESC current during initial flights and adjust prop size, gearing, or battery load if required.

Clean the shaft and adapter, confirm the hub bore matches, place the prop squarely on the shaft, secure the prop nut to the correct torque and then perform a low-throttle test to check for any vibration or looseness.
Use a static balancer to trim the light side with a small amount of tape or paint, then fit the prop and run the motor briefly on the ground to verify there is no excessive vibration transmitted to the airframe.
Monitor ESC current draw and motor temperature during initial flights; higher sustained current or rising temperatures indicate you may need to reduce pitch, change gearing or limit flight duration to protect components.
