This replacement piston matches the 61ST-H piston pattern used in many side-exhaust RC glow engines. It is supplied as a spare component by YS Engine and is intended for use during scheduled maintenance or full engine rebuilds on compatible 61ST-H assemblies.
Role and fit: the piston forms the moving combustion element inside the cylinder and works together with the sleeve, rings and connecting rod to maintain compression and power delivery in side-exhaust layouts. Replace the piston when wear, scoring or compression loss is found during inspection.
Installation notes: replacing the piston requires disassembling the engine to access the sleeve and wrist pin. Clean mating surfaces thoroughly, use appropriate lubrication during reassembly, and follow accepted small-engine reconditioning procedures. If you are not confident with engine teardown, have a qualified technician perform the service.
Tuning and maintenance context: fitting a fresh piston restores consistent compression and predictable throttle response; it should be paired with an inspection of the sleeve, ring condition and port timing when preparing an engine for serious track use.
