This is a hard precision pinion made for 48-pitch RC drivetrain use. With 18 teeth it sits in a common mid-range for changing final drive ratio without swapping the spur, enabling fine adjustments to acceleration and top speed in 48-pitch setups.

Fitment depends on using 48-pitch motor shafts and matching spur/gearing; check shaft diameter and set screw position on your motor before fitting. Install with correct mesh and inspect for minimal backlash to prevent premature wear on both pinion and spur.

When tuning, alter pinion tooth count one tooth at a time and perform test runs between changes. Use a proper thread locker or correctly torqued set screw where applicable, and recheck mesh after a short break-in run or any drivetrain modification.
