High-precision pinion for electric RC setups

The Yokomo YOKRP-036-24 Precision Pinion Gear 24T is built as a direct replacement or spare for electric drivetrain projects that accept a 24-tooth pinion. This precision component is intended to alter final drive ratios while delivering consistent tooth contact with matching spur gears during setup and tuning.

Fitting is straightforward for experienced modelers: remove the motor pinion set screw, slide the 24T pinion onto the motor shaft to achieve the desired mesh with the spur gear, then tighten the set screw and confirm backlash and runout. Always check engagement at low speed before running at full power and re-verify the mount after the initial test run.

In tuning practice, swapping to this 24T pinion modifies the balance between top speed and acceleration in predictable increments when used alongside spur gear changes. Maintain drivetrain bearings and spur gear surfaces in good condition to preserve performance and reduce wear.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
This pinion is a 24-tooth unit intended for RC-scale electric drivetrains that accept a 24T motor pinion.
Remove the motor pinion set screw, position the 24T pinion to the correct mesh with the spur gear, tighten the set screw, then check backlash and runout. Verify engagement at low throttle before regular use.
Check that bearings rotate freely, confirm spur teeth are not worn, and ensure the pinion set screw is secure. Run at low speed first to ensure smooth meshing.
