This HUDY 105253 Octopus tire mounting band is an RC-scale accessory made to hold 1/8 off-road tires firmly while adhesive cures, helping achieve consistent bead-to-wheel contact without distorting the tyre shape.
The band’s flexible design delivers even radial pressure around the tyre, reducing gaps and high spots during setup. Its shape follows the tyre profile so the glue film can set under uniform compression, which helps repeatable results across multiple tyres.
Installation is simple: after mounting the tyre and applying adhesive, position the band over the tyre and work it into place so the tread and bead sit evenly against the wheel. Leave the band in place until the adhesive has fully cured according to the adhesive manufacturer’s guidance.
Because it is supplied as a set of 4 pcs, the kit supports preparing multiple tyres in one session and keeps tyre prep consistent when tuning compound or ride characteristics during setup.
