This 1/700 scale plastic model reproduces the Imperial Japanese Navy battleship Fuso as configured in 1944, aimed at modellers focused on accurate exterior presentation for display.
Fuso was the lead vessel of her class, completed in the mid-1910s and later subject to major interwar reconstructions. She remained in service through the Pacific War and was lost during the Leyte Gulf actions in 1944. The ship's history spans the evolution of pre-dreadnought design into wartime modifications that altered appearance and fittings.
The kit emphasises external hull lines, superstructure shapes, and deck fittings appropriate to the 1944 configuration. During assembly pay attention to hull half alignment and placement of small superstructure components; painting and rigging are required to reach a faithful display finish. Using reference photographs and period plans is advised to reproduce wartime weathering and deck details at this scale.
A compact-scale depiction of an important capital ship, intended for collectors and modelers concentrating on external detail and period appearance.
