13-tooth 40Cr pinion for compact RC drivetrains

This 13T pinion is a direct replacement for electric RC drivetrains that match the listed geometry. Made from 40Cr steel with a hardened black finish, it is specified with 13 teeth, a 0.5mm module and a 2.2mm round motor bore. The pinion secures to the motor shaft using two 3x3 set screws.

In service the pinion provides a compact, durable interface between the motor shaft and the spur or primary gear. Confirm the motor accepts a 2.2mm bore pinion and that the driven spur uses a 0.5mm module before fitting. Because correct mesh and alignment are essential, install the gear with the motor and driven gear assembled, verify concentricity, and tighten the set screws evenly.

For tuning or repair tasks the pinion lets you preserve tooth profile and wear characteristics while changing tooth count to alter gear ratio. The hardened 40Cr material is selected to increase wear resistance compared with softer alloys, helping the part withstand normal RC drivetrain loads.
