Launched to mark Waigo Hobby's anniversary, the Tamiya 92449 HG Carbon Wide Rear Stay is a limited-edition tune-up item. It is made from a single silver-toned carbon fiber plate at 3mm thickness rather than a stack of thinner sheets, and the purple lettering and finish flag the commemorative nature of this run.
Functionally, the one-piece 3mm construction raises stiffness compared with common 1.5mm plates or stacked configurations. That extra rigidity changes how the rear stay assembly responds under load, and builders should weigh its effect on roll and flex when balancing a tuned chassis.
Installation follows standard rear stay mounting used across many Mini 4WD performance chassis. Before fitting, check hole spacing and screw lengths against your chassis to prevent interference. The single-piece construction also changes impact behaviour relative to layered stays, so inspect for stress after collisions.
Collectors and hobbyists will note the silver finish and Waigo Hobby branding as the main draw. Use the part as a visual upgrade or when a firmer rear stay is desired, but choose it with regard to the overall chassis setup.
