This 1/12 scale plastic assembly kit recreates the 2009 Fiat Yamaha YZR-M1 as a finely detailed display model intended for advanced hobbyists and collectors.
The 2009 YZR-M1 represented an evolution of the previous chassis with revisions to tyre interaction and handling characteristics. Its 800cc inline four-cylinder engine and modified chassis lowered the center of gravity, improved fuel efficiency and enhanced overall tractability for that season. Success depended on balancing engine response with chassis setup suited to the spec tyres used at the time.
The kit models key mechanical details of the 2009 race machine, including the inline four-cylinder engine layout and both front and rear suspension parts. Side panels and the seat mount are fixed with small screws to permit removal, and the fuel tank cover detaches to show internal detail. Front and rear slick tyres are supplied in solid rubber with Bridgestone markings. Decals include liveries for No.46 and No.99. A separate riding figure posed mid-corner is available but not included.
