Precision 10° Aluminum Lower Caster Block

The Yokomo YOKD123 aluminum lower caster block set offers a fixed 10° lower caster option developed for RC suspension tuning. These machined aluminum parts replace standard plastic blocks to provide a firmer mounting point where the lower suspension arm meets the steering knuckle. This product is supplied as an aftermarket tuning component intended to modify caster and steering response rather than serve as a general repair part.

Fitting a heavier, more rigid lower caster block changes roll center and steering return characteristics. Use these blocks as part of a controlled setup adjustment when you want crisper initial turn-in or a stronger self-centering effect at the front. They suit 1/10 touring and similar pan car chassis that share compatible hub geometry.

Installation requires basic suspension disassembly to access the lower arm pivot and knuckle; verify hole alignment and appropriate fastener lengths for your chassis before final tightening. After fitment, check steering travel and for binding, and revisit toe and camber since caster changes influence overall wheel alignment.

Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
A 10° fixed caster changes the wheel's steering geometry, often sharpening initial turn-in and improving straight-line stability by increasing the self-centering force on the front wheels.
You can pair metal caster blocks with plastic hubs if mounting holes and spacing align; however, check fastener length and alignment carefully to avoid placing stress on the plastic components.
Because aluminum raises rigidity at the mounting point, nearby plastic parts can see different loading patterns; inspect adjacent components after initial runs and ensure correct torque settings to limit wear.
Verify fastener length and thread engagement for your chassis. In many cases the stock screws are adequate, but some setups require slightly longer or shorter screws to achieve proper clamping without bottoming out.
