Fine-tune diff action with super flex oil

The Yokomo YOKCSDOT2 is a silicone-based differential oil made for gear-type differentials in R/C models. Designed as a tuning fluid, it alters slip behaviour inside the diff to affect traction transfer and mid-corner response on 1/10 scale on-road and touring setups.

Use it as a direct replacement for your current diff fluid: open the differential, drain the old oil, and add the appropriate amount of this super flex Dot 2 to the gear mesh and internal cavity. Because this formulation is softer, expect a more progressive transfer of power between wheels versus heavier diff oils.

Tuning notes: softer oils like this one reduce abrupt locking and can improve turn-in and traction on lower grip surfaces, though they may lessen aggressive locking under hard acceleration. Make incremental changes and test on-track to find the balance that suits your chassis and driving style. Check seals and watch for leaks after refilling to maintain consistent performance.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
It softens engagement so power is transferred more gradually, which usually improves turn-in feel and reduces sudden oversteer on low-grip surfaces.
This oil is formulated for 1/10 scale gear differentials, but inspect diff seals and internals first to confirm compatibility with your specific unit.
Replace the fluid incrementally, run a few laps between fills, and note entry, mid-corner balance, and exit traction to decide if a lighter or firmer oil is needed.
