Yes, installation is straightforward for MSR-BD11, MSR-BD12 and MSR-BD12A. Trim only if you are using non-standard wheels, otherwise they drop into standard foam slots.

Do these inserts suit all carpet types?

They perform best on low to medium pile carpet commonly used at club tracks. On very plush surfaces you may want a softer insert for additional compliance.
