Rear suspension tuning with the Yokomo Z2-018-2

The Yokomo Z2-018-2 Graphite Rear Shock Tower is a precision part made for the YZ-2CA/DTM lineup. It enables adjustment of rear suspension height by changing the shock mounting location, particularly useful when fitting the Z2-302S1YZ-2 gearbox spacer set. Fabricated from robust graphite, the tower includes two mounting screw holes so you can keep standard shock positions even when the gearbox raises the mounting plane by 2mm.

Durability and chassis compatibility

Manufactured from quality graphite, the Z2-018-2 provides a balance of light weight and strength for club or track use. It is compatible with multiple YZ-2 chassis variants including B-YZ2DTM3 and B-YZ2CAL3, making it a straightforward option for drivers wanting to refine handling across different track surfaces.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Graphite offers a stiff but lightweight mounting point that resists flex under load, helping keep consistent shock geometry and predictable rear-end behaviour.
Yes. The tower is designed to accommodate the raised gearbox scenario created by the Z2-302S1YZ-2 spacer, allowing you to retain conventional shock positions via the extra mounting holes.
Installation is typical of shock tower swaps; standard hex drivers and careful alignment are sufficient. Check screw torque and clearance after fitting to avoid binding.
