The Yokomo YOKDPYD4 YD-4 combines race-focused engineering with drift-specific setup details. Developed with input from Hayato Matsuzaki, this design centres mass low and central to help maintain stability and sustained drift angles during quick transitions.
The double-deck carbon chassis on the YD-4 raises torsional strength while keeping weight low, improving durability and track feel. The sealed gearbox and shaft-driven AWD layout deliver smooth, predictable torque to all wheels for consistent slides.
The steering system uses a steel slide rack to maximise steering angle and refine the Ackerman geometry for sharper corner entry. A narrow scrub knuckle with an integrated front kingpin angle helps the car rotate cleanly and hold a chosen line during long drifts.
The YD-4 accepts both standard and shorty battery packs, allowing you to tune weight distribution and wheelbase for specific drift setups. This flexibility makes it straightforward to adapt the car for different tracks and driving styles.
Targeted at advanced hobbyists and competition drivers, the Yokomo YOKDPYD4 YD-4 offers a well-balanced platform with room for setup tweaks and upgrades to refine drift performance and reliability.
