Upgrade Your YD-2 with Precision Aluminium Parts

The Yokomo Y2-OP1A Upgrade Kit is built to refine the handling characteristics of YD-2 series chassis. This compact package focuses on improving balance and control by replacing key suspension pieces with machined aluminium components.

Accurate Suspension Tuning with Lightweight Aluminium

The core of this kit is the height-adjustable aluminium oil shocks, which allow more consistent setup and smoother response. Matching aluminium suspension arms reduce front-end weight and help deliver crisper steering response, making chassis behaviour more predictable on varied surfaces.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
You will notice more precise steering inputs and improved stability as aluminium parts reduce unwanted flex and help the suspension keep consistent geometry under load.
Installation requires basic RC tools such as hex drivers, a shock spanner or pliers for assembly, and thread lock for metal-to-metal fasteners where applicable.
Regularly check fasteners, keep shock shafts clean, and inspect for wear. Lightly lubricate moving parts and replace seals or oil as part of routine service.
