The Yokomo Y2-002ZMGA high traction main chassis is a precision-engineered aluminium alternative crafted in 2.5mm matte graphite to suit YD-2R rear motor layouts. Its material and form are chosen to raise rear-end grip and give smoother, predictable corner entry and exit.

How the chassis boosts cornering

Strategic cutouts are placed to increase flex around the rear section, letting rear roll transfer into the tyres more effectively. That controlled suppleness helps the rear hold line through medium to high speed turns without sudden breakaway, which is valuable for drift setups and tight circuit work.

Battery layout and fitment notes

While the YD-2R is set up for a rear-oriented horizontal battery, this chassis accepts a vertical pack when used with the optional graphite battery holder Y2-118CG (sold separately). Switching to a vertical battery shifts mass rearwards for added traction but removes compatibility with the upper deck post, so plan your layout accordingly.
