Is this kit a good first drift car?

The modular design helps beginners learn, but you should be comfortable with assembly and setting up electronics. Expect to install a motor, ESC, receiver and steering gyro separately.

What battery sizes work best?

The kit supports both standard and short packs. Short batteries help centralise mass for snappier steering while standard packs can give longer run time.

Does it need special tyres for drifting?

Use drifting-specific tyres or slicks depending on the surface. Harder compounds are common for consistent slide on asphalt and P-tile.
