What electronics do I need to finish the kit?

To complete the kit you will need a 2-channel radio, a Sub-C 7.2V battery pack or recommended alternative, a compatible motor and ESC, plus a charger and a steering servo matched to the chassis mounting points.

Can I swap the body for other 1/10 shells?

Yes, other 1/10 bodies can be used as long as they fit the 258mm wheelbase and the maximum width constraints listed in the specifications.
