This mid-motor conversion kit modifies the Yokomo BD9 touring car platform to move the motor from the original rear location into a central position within the chassis. The option gives drivers a way to test how shifting mass toward the center affects turn-in, traction, and on-track balance for circuit-oriented setups.
The kit supplies the mechanical interfaces needed to marry a centrally mounted motor to the BD9 drivetrain, including mounting points and alignment features to position the motor relative to the gearbox and spur gear. This product is intended for scale RC application only and is not related to any full-size vehicle conversion.
Installation requires removing the stock motor mount and fitting the conversion components to the BD9 chassis. During fitment check driveline alignment, motor-to-spur spacing, and clearance for the ESC and receiver. The conversion is aimed at hobbyists comfortable with chassis teardown and basic drivetrain adjustment tasks.
As an upgrade option for the Yokomo BD9, this kit provides a modular path to explore mid-motor handling characteristics on track without replacing the entire chassis assembly.
