Drivetrain Layout Improvements

A central change is the drivetrain realignment, with the front belt routed centrally through the chassis for steadier power flow. The motor has been shifted inward to improve fore-aft weight balance, producing calmer entry behaviour and more predictable corner exits.

Key Hardware That Matters

Yokomo fitted the BD8 with a larger 22T centre pulley for smoother belt wear and crisper acceleration response. The bush/insert suspension blocks make toe adjustments straightforward and their lower profile lowers the car's center of gravity for better stability.

The compact motor mount offers multiple screw positions to fine tune traction and turn-in. Strategic use of lightweight graphite plastic parts in suspension arms and hubs helps reduce mass while keeping strength where it counts.

Steering Feel and Dampers

An aluminium servo mount and bellcrank setup deliver solid steering feedback and cut down chassis flex. High quality front double joint DCJs and big bore SLF 2 short shocks preserve the low COG package for composed mid-corner manners.
