What is the best way to prepare the shell for painting?

Clean the polycarbonate with mild soap and water, dry thoroughly, then apply the supplied masks before spraying polycarbonate paint. Light tack tape can help hold masks in place during detailing.

Is the aerodynamic benefit noticeable on all surfaces?

The extra length helps airflow at higher speeds and is most apparent on smooth or fast tracks. It still fits for general club use and display bodies.
