Precise control for M18 micro racecars

The XRAY 389180 XMC180 Micro Speed Controller is built for the XRAY M18 micro racecar, delivering compact, reliable control with reverse and proportional braking. Using SMD construction, the ESC also includes an integrated battery elimination circuit to keep your electronics stable when paired with micro stock motors.

Core functions for micro circuit racing

Tailored for consistency on the track, the XMC180 accepts 4-5 cell NiMH or NiCd packs, operating from 4.8V to 6.0V. It handles continuous loads up to 3.6A with short 27A peaks, and its internal BEC provides a steady 5V supply to power servos and receivers.

Specifications

  • Input Power: Suitable for 4-5 cell NiMH or NiCd packs (4.8V - 6.0V)
  • Min. Resistance: 0.138 Ω / 7.5V
  • Max. Resistance: 0.206 Ω / 6V
  • Continuous Current: Maximum 3.6A
  • Peak Current: 27A for 0.05 sec
  • PWM Frequency: 1900 Hz
  • BEC Output: 5V / 0.5A
  • Temperature Range: 0-40 C (32-72 F)

A compact option for XRAY M18 racers using stock motors, the XMC180 balances small size with stable power delivery to protect components and maintain predictable handling.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Use only micro stock motors specified for M18 class racing. Higher power or modified motors can overload and damage the ESC.
Choose 4-5 cell NiMH or NiCd packs that fall within 4.8V to 6.0V. Stay within that range to avoid overheating and to protect the BEC and electronics.
Ensure airflow around the ESC and avoid prolonged stalls. Use proper gearing and keep motor temperatures monitored; cooling helps extend ESC life.
