Viscosity Options and Recommended Uses

The XRAY silicone oil range covers viscosities from Ultra Thin 100 cSt up to Extra Thick 300,000 cSt to suit different RC components. The 2000 cSt grade is commonly chosen for shock absorbers, offering a balanced level of damping and control, and the color coded labels make it simple to pick the right weight during race prep.

Practical Bottle Design for Trackside Work

The square bottle design stops it from rolling on the pit table and the slim nozzle allows accurate application without waste. The cap seals firmly to prevent leaks, a clear rear viewport shows remaining volume, and the viscosity is printed on the cap for quick identification during maintenance.

Start by testing a midrange weight such as 2000 cSt and alter by small steps; softer springs or looser setups usually need thinner oil, while stiffer springs or aggressive damping require heavier oil.
The 2000 cSt can be used in some differential configurations, but many builders prefer heavier silicone for diffs to achieve more traction and slower rollback.
Keep bottles upright, capped tightly and stored away from direct heat or sunlight to preserve viscosity; the clear viewport helps monitor age and remaining quantity.
