Will XRAY 308031-O collars work on older XRAY shock models?

How should I install these aluminum collars for best results?

Slide the collar onto the shock shaft and seat it against the spring retainer groove, then secure any locking set screw if present. A light thread locker on metal screws can prevent loosening.
