Lightweight precision tuned for competitive use

For drivers focused on trimming every gram from their setups, the XRAY 18T/64 Narrow Pinion Gear combines featherweight construction with precise engineering. Made from aircraft-grade duraluminum, this pinion is 1.5mm thinner and about 25 percent lighter than standard pinions, helping racers shave rotating mass without compromising structural integrity.

Precision machining and protective hardcoat

Produced on XRAYs specialized precision gear machine, this pinion delivers excellent concentricity and balance. All edges are chamfered and the part receives a dedicated hardcoat finish to boost wear resistance, so the gear stays true through extended track time.

Easy pairing with spurs and quieter throttle transitions

The XRAY 18T/64 Narrow Pinion Gear mates cleanly with common spur gears and works especially well with XRAY spur sets. Users will notice reduced throttle on/off clatter and a smoother drive feel during acceleration and deceleration.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Check your motor shaft diameter and tooth count compatibility first. The XRAY 18T/64 Narrow Pinion Gear fits most setups that match those specs, but confirm your shaft size and mesh before installation.
The reduced thickness lowers weight while the duraluminum construction and hardcoat retain strength. Under normal racing conditions it performs well, though always inspect for wear in heavy use applications.
Start with a correct gear mesh, use a thin smear of suitable grease on the spur where recommended, and ensure motor mount alignment. Those steps help reduce on/off noise and prolong gear life.
