Slim pinion for accurate drivetrain balance

The XRAY 305928 narrow pinion gear is a performance-focused upgrade that improves efficiency in your RC drivetrain. Machined from aircraft-grade duraluminum, this pinion is 1.5mm thinner and about 25% lighter than typical pinions, trimming rotating mass while retaining strength.

High-precision production for consistent results

Produced on XRAY's specially modified precision gear machines, these pinions are finished to ultra-tight tolerances to ensure excellent concentricity. Chamfered tooth edges and a running-in process prepare the gear for service, while the hardcoat finish increases surface hardness for long-term reliability.

Fits spur gears and helps reduce noise

Suitable for use with any spur gear and especially complementary to XRAY spur gears, this narrow pinion reduces throttle on/off chatter for a smoother, quieter drivetrain. It is an easy upgrade for racers aiming to tune noise and response.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Check your motor shaft diameter and spline pattern first. The XRAY 305928 is a standard narrow pinion profile that fits most motors when the shaft and spline match the pinion bore and design.
Set a proper mesh using a shim method or feeler gauge, then secure the pinion and run the gear in under light load. Confirm there is no binding and recheck mesh after a short break-in run.
Keep the gear free of grit and inspect teeth for wear after heavy sessions. The hardcoat increases durability, but routine cleaning and correct mesh are key to long life.
