XRAY T4 Series Lightweight 16T Pinion

The XRAY 305716 Aluminum Hard Coated Pinion Gear is built for T4-series cars that need a durable, low-mass drive gear. Machined from aircraft-grade duraluminum, it balances weight reduction with the rigidity needed for repeated high-speed runs. Produced on XRAY precision equipment, the result is excellent concentricity and reliable rotation.

Precision Machining and Hard Coating

Each pinion is cut to tight tolerances and chamfered at the tooth edges to limit friction and premature wear. A specialised hard-coating is applied to increase surface resilience, helping the gear keep consistent performance under heavy use and reducing the need for frequent replacements.

Fitment and Drive Characteristics

Engineered to mesh cleanly with compatible spur gears, the XRAY 305716 reduces on/off throttle noise and promotes smoother acceleration. It is suitable for competitive tuning or routine maintenance where a dependable pinion is required.

Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
It was made for the T4 family but can fit other XRAY cars that accept a 48P 16T pinion. Check shaft diameter and mounting style before swapping.
Start with a snug mesh and use a shim or a sheet of paper to get the correct backlash, then lock the pinion and test for quiet engagement at slow throttle.
Keep the gear free of grit, inspect teeth regularly, and avoid aggressive cleaning chemicals to preserve the coating and extend service life.
