Rear Shock Upgrade for XRAY XB808

The XRAY 358203 XB808 Rear Shock Absorber Set is built for RC racers who want to tighten up rear-end handling on their XB808. The package includes two big-bore rear shock absorbers with soft rubber shock boots to protect the internals while providing controlled damping across mixed surfaces.

Robust Materials and Precision Fit

These shocks use oversized 18.5mm O.D. externally threaded bodies with an adjustable collar for accurate downstop setup. Hardcoated aluminum shock bodies combined with a one-piece aluminum shock cap deliver durability and consistent feel. Internal parts, such as the 15.3mm I.D. shock pistons, are manufactured from a purpose-formulated composite to ensure smooth action and long service intervals.

Consistent Damping and Leak Resistance

Wider shock membranes and upgraded materials help keep damping predictable during a race. The lower assembly is designed to reduce oil loss while allowing free shaft travel, with silicone compound O-rings and composite shims controlling seal and friction. The 3.5mm thick high-tensile steel shock shafts withstand repeated jumps and heavy loads during competition.

Fitment Notes and Best Practices

The XRAY 358203 set replaces older XB808 rear shocks directly. For best alignment and performance, fit the XB9 shock tower when installing these absorbers on an 808 chassis to ensure correct geometry and mounting points.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The 358203 shocks are tailored for the XB808 but can replace shocks on the XB9 series if you also use the correct shock tower to match mounting positions.
Use the adjustable collar to set downstops and select shock oil that matches your track conditions; small changes in piston spacing and oil grade will alter rebound and compression feel.
Regularly inspect O-rings and boots for wear, replace oil if contaminated, and check shaft straightness after impacts to prevent premature seal failure and uneven damping.
