The Trumpeter 1:72 scale model of the German Sturmgeschutz IV (StuG IV) gives hobbyists a clear window into WWII armoured vehicle design. First appearing in December 1943, the StuG IV combined the superstructure of the StuG III with the Panzer IV chassis, and production continued until March 1945 with 1,139 units made by Krupp-Gruson in Magdeburg.
The StuG IV carried the 75mm StuK 40 L/48 gun in a distinctive saukopf mantlet and was crewed by four men, serving as a key support vehicle for infantry formations. This kit reproduces those defining features with crisp moulding and scale-accurate proportions to suit display and historical modelling.
