The Swedish STRV.103 B, commonly called the "S-Tank", represents an unconventional Cold War design first fielded in the 1960s. Built without a turret, it was optimized as a tank destroyer. The STRV.103 B production run from 1970 to 1984 saw REMO upgrades that added a laser rangefinder, an updated diesel powerplant, and other defensive improvements.
This Trumpeter kit reproduces the STRV.103 B silhouette and historical role so modellers can study its engineering and tactics. With roughly 300 vehicles originally in service, the model highlights why the S-Tank was respected for its accuracy and versatility compared to peers like the M60A1E3.
At 1:72 scale the kit balances detail and manageability for both experienced builders and newcomers. The moulded grey plastic includes 63 parts that form a faithful miniature of the vehicle. Completed dimensions are 120.7mm long, 48.5mm wide and 31.6mm high, making it a neat display piece for a shelf or diorama.
