Service Record and Midwar Refit

The Richelieu saw combat at Dakar and later transferred to Allied operations in 1942. A major refit at the Brooklyn Navy Yard in 1943 upgraded fire control and anti-aircraft systems, adding Bofors and Oerlikon mounts and improving her radar fit. By 1944 she was active in northern waters and subsequently deployed to the Far East against Japanese positions.

Building Highlights

This 1:700 scale kit can be built as either a waterline display or a full hull model, providing display flexibility. With 370 plastic parts, the kit presents a rewarding challenge for experienced builders who enjoy fine deck details.
