The Trumpeter 1/350 USS The Sullivans DD-537 kit delivers a hands-on project for scale modellers who enjoy naval subjects and historical accuracy. The real ship honours the five Sullivan brothers who lost their lives on USS Juneau and was launched in 1943, earning nine battle stars in World War II and two more during the Korean War.
The destroyer operated as a plane guard, supported shore bombardments and took part in anti-kamikaze defence during wartime operations. This kit captures those service roles and presents an attractive piece for a military collection. Builders can select either a waterline display or a full hull build to suit their display preference.
At 1:350 scale, the assembled ship measures 328 mm long by 34 mm wide, offering a manageable but detailed platform for weathering and rigging. The set contains 174 plastic parts across 12 sprues, plus separate lower and upper hulls, decks and a waterline plate. The kit does not include metal, resin or photo-etched components, and decals are provided for 1943 and 1945 markings.
