The Savoia-Marchetti S.M.79 Sparviero is a prominent Italian World War II bomber that started life as a civil airliner conversion. Best known for its three-engine silhouette, the type was also adapted into twin-engine versions using powerplants such as the Junkers Jumo 211D and served with air arms including Brazil, Iraq and Romania.
This 1:48 scale kit from Trumpeter recreates the aircrafts service history from operations in Spain to campaigns in North Africa, while offering model makers a substantial build measuring 337.5mm long with a 442mm wingspan. The set contains 195 plastic parts across six sprues to give a detailed assembly experience for dedicated hobbyists.
