The F6F-3 Hellcat played a key role in World War II, and the Trumpeter 1:32 scale kit captures that legacy with careful attention to form and detail. First flown in October 1942, the Hellcat is known for its rugged airframe and frontline service in carrier operations.
The Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat was powered by the Pratt & Whitney R2800-10 engine producing around 2000 horsepower, reaching top speeds near 611 km/h and a service ceiling around 11,368 meters. More than 4,400 examples were produced by April 1944, and many were supplied to the British Fleet Air Arm under Lend-Lease.
This large 1:32 kit lets modellers recreate the Hellcat down to the six .50 cal machine guns and folding wing mechanism. The kit includes options for folded wings and a clear engine cover, plus 364 plastic parts and photo-etched details that reward careful assembly and finishing.
