Tamiya XF-89 Dark Green 2 in a 10ml bottle provides a reliable flat acrylic for hobby projects. Its water soluble acrylic resin formula works well with brush or airbrush applications on styrene resins, Styrofoam, wood and most common model plastics, giving smooth, even coverage.

Surface Compatibility and Use

This paint lays down evenly and can be blended to create custom tones. While still wet it rinses off with plain water, which allows for easy corrections and touch ups. The XF prefix denotes a flat finish, ideal for authentic scale appearance.

Thinning, Drying and Brush Tips

For airbrushing, thin Tamiya XF-89 with Tamiya X-20A Acrylic Thinner or, if a faster cure and tougher surface is needed, use Tamiya Lacquer Thinner. For brush work, add Tamiya Paint Retarder (87114) to reduce brush marks and improve flow.
