Tamiya 81518 Mini Acrylic X-18 Semi-Gloss Black provides a 10ml supply of water-soluble acrylic resin paint suited to both brushwork and airbrushing. It adheres well to styrol resins, Styrofoam, wood and most common modelling plastics, delivering good coverage and an even semi-gloss surface.

Practical Application Advice

For best airbrush performance, thin with Tamiya thinners like 81020, 81030, 81040, 81520 or 87077 to achieve a uniform spray and easier blending between coats.

Can I use this on painted RC shells made from polycarbonate?

This acrylic is intended for general model materials and is not formulated specifically for untreated polycarbonate RC shells. If you plan to paint polycarbonate, use a product made for lexan or follow surface prep guidelines first.

Is priming recommended before painting?
