The Tamiya Mechanical Rabbit blends Robocraft aesthetics with simple mechanical engineering to engage hobbyists and learners. This finished model shows coordinated left and right leg motion driven by a crank and link-rod system that converts motor rotation into stepping action. An integrated gearbox reduces motor speed to produce smooth, controlled movement.
The almost-transparent body makes it easy to observe gears, linkages and the drive train in operation, offering a practical way to examine basic mechanical principles. The motor and battery compartment sit toward the front, leaving the rear legs free to move without interference.
With an overall length of 115mm, the Mechanical Rabbit is compact enough for a display shelf or desk while still showing clear mechanical detail. It is intended as a display and educational piece rather than a racing model.
